I am a seasoned Special Effects Supervisor with over three decades of experience in the feature film industry. My career began in 1987 under the mentorship of Oscar-winning SFX Supervisor George Gibbs on Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to some of the most iconic films in cinema history, working with industry legends like Neil Corbould, Paul Corbould, and John Evans on award-winning productions such as Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, and Black Hawk Down.

I progressed to supervising major projects like Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides and World War Z, and since 2013, I have taken the lead on my own high-profile productions. My work has earned me significant industry recognition, including one Academy Award nomination, three BAFTA nominations and a VES Award for The Midnight Sky.

In addition to my extensive experience, I am a full voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), and the Visual Effects Society (VES). I am also a registered SFX supervisor with the Broadcasting, Entertainment Cinematograph and Theatre Union (BECTU). These memberships reflect my ongoing commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and my active involvement in the industry.

I am also a proud member of the Institute of Explosive Engineers (MIExpE), further underscoring my technical expertise and dedication to maintaining impeccable safety standards in special effects. With a 100% safety record and a robust Health and Safety policy, I ensure every project is executed with precision, supported by my team of experienced task managers and crew leaders.

Throughout my career, I have built and led a loyal, diverse crew capable of handling both large and smaller-scale projects. My facility, located just one mile from Pinewood Studios, offers flexibility for various production needs. With my broad experience in both modern and traditional filmmaking techniques, I am well-equipped to navigate any challenges that arise on set.
