V for Vendetta was a dark political thriller set in a near-future Britain, starring Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving and directed by James McTeigue.
My involvement was fairly brief, working only on the London sequence, where we handled practical atmospheric and action effects including smoke, rain, debris and controlled explosive work.
It was a short job for me, but a visually distinctive film with a very strong identity, and another good example of practical effects being used to give the larger sequences a physical reality on camera.
