Seriously excited when I got this job, it was filled with large practical effects from start to finish. The cast were all very cool, especially working with Margot.....We rigged the whole inside of the jungle stage with 24 large spinner heads, which created a deluge of rain, with a stream running through the middle that we redressed and redirected for different scenes. We had trouble keeping up with the drainage!! A full size collapsing pier section, constructed with huge timbers and a working overhead conveyor system. We built a winch system and track for Tarzan to ride the wildebeest underneath this pier before it collapses. We had a large scale burn with the straw huts in Kuba village. We built Rom's boat paddle wheel, furnace and the gimble that it sits on as it's sinking. We built a huge waterfall and flooded the set with Mee Mist replicating the clouds, it looked great in camera.
