My introduction to the world of JK Rowling with David Yates, directing. This film is where things started to change in my opinion, my previous film together with David was Tarzan that was filled with practical effects. This world is driven by VFX and something I struggled with if I am honest. we still did some big effects as you can see in the gallery but the sets have become a lot more blue/green than before! Part of the magic that drew me in as a child was being imersed in a world or scene and everything around you was that world or scene, down to what was written on bits of paper on a desk for instance. If you picked it up and read it it would have been relevant to the scene. The attention to detail we go into is all part of the art and why we do it.
