Directed by Ridley Scott and based on the real events of the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu, this was a relentless, high-intensity shoot. I was the Special Effects Lead Technician on the UK unit, helping to deliver everything from aerial gunfire hits and debris charges to vehicle burns and full-scale impact gags. The coordination across effects, stunts, and camera was military in itself — and we all knew the weight of the story we were helping to tell.
